The six and seven year -old campers visited the Chicago Architecture Foundation to view a model of the city. They discussed how this model was made, and what shifts in scale do to our understanding of the cityscape as they were able to see Chicago from a bird’s eye view. Back in the classroom, the campers made their own model of an imagined city, carving the buildings and skyscrapers out of wood.
