Ethan Rose has released recordings, scored films, performed live, created sound installations and worked with a variety of collaborators. Through methods of reduction and repositioning his work utilizes methods of interactive composition to explore qualities of materiality and sonic transformation. Recent projects include a spatial/choral work titled Between Rooms and Voices, a collaborative glass/sound installation titled Transference, as well as a score for the upcoming film Code Blue directed by Urszula Antoniak.
Kim joins SAIC Sound Department from Glasgow, Scotland. She works with sound, video and installation. Her work facilitates the instigation or investigation of an event or social practice, presenting outcomes containing documentary-style and constructed elements. As such, her practice is situated in between the definition of a reality or fictionalization. Kim has interests in language, expression, narration, collage and field recorded elements and is interested in focusing on the incongruous, in making the familiar unfamiliar or strange and abstracted.
Kyle Evans is a sound designer, computer musician, electronic instrument creator, video-maker and performer. While the majority of his work lies in the realm of experimental music composition and performance, his work also encompasses experimentation with technology, real-time video performance, and abstract video installations.
Eddie Breitweiser is a Chicago-based composer and audio/visual artist. By using sound, music, text, video and electronics, his work draws attention to the human construction of being and reality through sensory experience. Additionally, he produces and performs musical compositions that incorporate numerous improvisational practices and traditions. In his free time, he watches hockey and searches for wild mushrooms.
